For me, November marks the beginning of the holiday season. I love Thanksgiving, but admit I find all the celebrating of the season a little stressful. Even as the month turns darker and cooler, I have it helpful to focus on my health.

Despite its arrival being evidence that Winter is coming, October is one of my favorite months of the year. From the gorgeous colors of the trees to being able to go for brisk runs after work, Fall feels like it's officially here. Keep in mind that October also kicks off the beginning of the holiday season with Halloween, which means it's time to enjoy all the goodies, but still keep an eye on what we're putting in our bodies in the interim.

Now that Labor Day has passed us by, it's time to kiss the dog days of Summer good-bye. Just because you're putting away your bathing suit does not mean that you should also put away your motivation to stay fit. Being healthy is much more than looking good on the beach.
August represents the dog days of Summer but don't let that get you into a health rut. Finish out the Summer strong this year and keep with that exercise routine and healthy eating — you're doing a great job. Also, use my Must Haves for August to keep motivated.
Summer is in full force by the time July swings around. If you're lucky, you're still finding a time to exercise before the mercury rises and all the barbecues get fired up for Independence Day. In this seventh month, we're more than halfway through the year and hopefully still going strong on our healthy endeavors.
