You On a Diet), has written a really great and quite practical guide to surviving the first year of college.

There are plenty of reasons to avoid using so much
plastic, both environmental and health wise. For instance,
marine researchers have shown that plastic debris outweighs zooplankton in remote parts of the Pacific. Health wise, phthalates, a chemical added to normally rigid
PVC to make soft products, are potential hormone disruptors and may increase infertility in men.

When I was growing up, I walked to school. I wore my backpack and carried my alto saxophone. Now, I know those were simpler times, but walking is a great way for kids to get around in general and a great way for them to get to school.

It is
back to school time for many of us or our kids. While backpacks are much more ergonomic than over the shoulder bags, you shouldn't carry around an overstuffed bag.
