Last year we saw Girl Scout Cookies go trans-fat free and this year they're taking a step even further to sell to us calorie-conscious folks. Meet Cinna-Spins 100-Calorie Packs. Yes that is right, like many major brands, the Girl Scouts of America are trying to lure us to buy more cookies (as if we needed convincing). Not all Scouts will be selling them though, so the next time they come knocking at your door be sure to ask if they're available. One box contains five 100-calorie packs of 15 small crispy cinnamon cookies.

I have yet to see any Girl Scouts around town, but when I do I'll try them out. If any of you have already purchased Cinna-Spins from the Girl Scouts, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Fit's Tip: Freeze the cookies so you eat them slower. I am a Thin Mints girl, and I'll buy a few boxes to support the girls as well as to treat myself. Then I freeze them so I don't gobble up the whole box in one sitting.

We need these for thin mints! I can eat a whole roll in like half an hour. Normally I am not like that but there is just something about these cookies.

If I do buy GS cookies at all this year, I'll buy these. Last time I bought their lowfat apple-flavored ones and I wasn't too impressed. But I'm still buying Thin Mints because I LOVE them Smiling

Jkat, I agree with you. My boxes of Thin Mints don't last more than a few days.

samoas and thin mints are the death of me, come girl scout cookie time each year. like lots of other ladies on here, i'm not usually the type to go crazy with the sweets- these are just really super good. i just found out in the past month or so that i am lactose intolerant and have problems with ANYTHING containing eggs, milk, butter, you name it. so i think i may be safe from the weight gain from inhaling a box of samoas in one evening. there is a kind, i think they're called all-abouts, that is lactose free. i have never tried them though. anyone try all-abouts? good/bad?

OOok I am so over this 100-calorie pack scam! I bet these "cookies" taste like crap compared to thin mints! All of the low-fat cookies taste like cardboard. If you want to diet or eat 100 calories, grab some fruit or string cheese. If you want to eat a cookie just buy some Thin Mints, split them up into baggies of three or four, stash them in your freezer and enjoy! Girl Scout cookies are expensive enough as it is...

    Fitsugar and fellow subscribers:
I had to jump in and say that i really like the idea of the 100 calorie packs, and good on the girl scouts for having snacks available to those on diets! I am currently on a strict reduced calorie diet/lifestyle change. But i have to say the 100 calorie packs are really what saves me from breaking into a convenience store and turning into a monster. It's helping me change my eating habits, so i can control my portions for now. So far i've lost 22 lbs and i'm going strong. So for those who may NOT have to battle with weight- please give the 100 calorie pack a break!
