Diet Tip: Put Down That Fork

I have mentioned the idea of putting down your fork between bites before, but I want to thank user VicVicVictooriaa for bringing it up again.

It's true, putting your fork down between bites will force you to eat slower, thus giving your body enough time to register the amount of food you're actually putting into your body before it's too late (and you feel uncomfortable). Chances are you'll realize you've had enough much sooner than if you were to scarf down your whole meal without releasing your grip on your fork. If that doesn't work, you can always try a diet fork.

So try it out and let me know if you notice a difference in how much you eat by using this technique in the comments section below.

for me its just don't wait for your buttons to start popping off before you stop eating, basically for me its eating to get satisfied not eating for an upcoming famine.

I enjoy eating slow - to savor each bite and avoid the uncomfortable stuffed feeling. Even better, top the meal off with a nice walk...

I would so do this, if I ate meals at all. I am a huge grazer. I love eating finger food through-out the whole day so that I never get hungry and my metabolism stays in check. When I do eat an actual sit down meal though, I'm usually in too much of a hurry to do this.

I certainly agree it's a wonderful and effective method for those having trouble with the chemistry of weight loss. Too bad most people who are really struggling have a big issue with their emotional need for food instead of physically feeling hungry/full.

also try the water before a meal trick. drink a glass of water or two before a meal and itll fill you up a bit faster. It works great when youre out to eat since you have some time before your meal comes while youre conversing with company Smiling plus, it's really hard to have too much water and prevents me from scarfing down my entire entree in one sitting!
