Dodgeball? A Workout?

Okay, I'm having major PE flashbacks here. Dodgeball was definitely not my favorite sport as a child, but Dodgeball, the movie definitely sparked my interest in the sport as an adult.

I just found out that Crunch Fitness Gyms offer Dodgeball 101 classes.

Dodgeball is back folks! You get a great cardio workout from all that running around, ducking, and throwing balls. Playing this fast-paced game as an adult is much more fun, since now you have more throwing and aiming skills, not to mention upper body strength and speed. I always end up laughing my ass off, so it's a great way to relieve stress. Plus, since you are playing a game you forget that you are working out.

You're interested now, aren't you? To find a Crunch Fitness Gym near you, check out this map of gym locations.

Fit's Tips: If you're even more into it, you can also join a local Dodgeball team or league. Check around in your area to see where they're offered (try the YMCA), so your team can start practicing for the 2007 National Dodgeball Championship.

dodge ball brings back so many fun memories! I can see why it's a great workout. Whipping the ball at people at speeds over 30 MPH... running and dodging from the ball as fast as you can before being pelted in the back...

We don't have dodgeball in my school! We play lots of captain's ball though, with monthly inter-class tournaments Smiling

They won't let elementary kids play dodgeball anymore because they're afraid of singling out kids. This is the same pansy-like behavior that allows mercy rules in teamsports.

Im in a league and I love it!! It's so much fun esp with all adults, cause you all have lots of fun pretending to be kids again. Im not even good at it but I dont care, the competition is so friendly and it's just so much fun! "Dodgeball" the movie is quoted often during matches and stuff too. lol.

I can't believe they are taking db out of the schools. Playing DB in grade school is one of my fondest memories.
